The No. 911 Porsche 911 GT3 R was driven by Laurens Vanthoor, Kevin Estre, Earl Bamber and Michael Christensen led most of the race before Vanthoor was served a 5:32 penalty in the last couple of hours for a Full Course Yellow infringement, leaving the car to finish second, behind the sister #912 car. 13 days after the end of the race, the #911 car was punished further having found  have exceeded the limit of 494 hp, loosing its demoted second place too.
