Entered by Roger Penske in the ‘73 Can-Am series, Mark Donohue bravely took the wheel and smashed the competition, scoring over twice as many points as the second placed driver in the series. The utter domination was such that the car effectively ended the popular Can Am competition, coupled with the subsequent oil crisis. Still regarded as the most powerful sports car ever built and raced, nearly 50 years later.
